The Finch – Dallas & Grand Prairie, TX

The Finch is a contemporary American restaurant concept designed to feel both elevated and approachable. Archiphy was engaged to provide architectural design and documentation for two of its locations—one in Dallas and another in Grand Prairie—each approximately 5,000 square feet in size.

The location in Dallas was a remodel and the location in Grand Prairie was an interior finish-outs within existing shell spaces. Both projects required a careful balance between creative expression and technical precision. Our scope included full architectural drawings, coordination with consultants, and detailed 3D renderings to support client visioning and approval processes.

The Finch’s locations adapt the brand’s identity to its site context while maintaining a cohesive experience. Layouts were tailored to optimize flow between the dining areas, bar, and kitchen, creating clear circulation paths and sightlines. Material selections and spatial detailing supported the restaurant’s upscale-casual vibe—refined yet welcoming.

In both spaces, the design emphasized openness and light, using large-format glazing where possible and layered lighting strategies to create inviting zones. The bar, a central design feature, serves as both a visual anchor and a social hub. Finishes such as natural wood tones, patterned tile, and warm metal accents contributed to a timeless yet modern ambiance. The consistent use of branding elements, down to signage and custom millwork, ensured that The Finch delivered a recognizable and high-quality experience across both locations.
